When people here report the great ride from their Bilstien shocks, are you all referring to their abilities during towing, off-roading, or smooth comfortable relaxing everyday highway driving?

Shocks keep tires on the ground. Bilstiens do this very well.
The valving in the heavy duty (yellow) is just right to provide firm yet not harsh ride.
the silver sport is a bit more aggresive in valving but still great for street duty.

I wish I could find a set of silvers for an 8'' lift and dual front shocks.....
Thanks for all the feedback. for all of you running the yellow bilsteins, do you happen to know the part numbers. the bilstein website doesnt make sense. 4x4 trucks have leaf springs front and rear. they do not show that?? the f350 shows the option but not for the f250. i dont want f350 shocks in fear of them being too stiff. below was for the f250 copied from the website Part Number: 24-185981

From eshockwarehouse.com, look at the shock listed as 'BST Heavy Duty'. This is where I got mine a few years ago. (They've gone by almost $100 for for since then) Here's the link so you can compare numbers:
Slapped a set of Bilstiens YELLOWS on the rear..could'nt be more stoked. Wait'n on funds for the fronts...but whatever you do...DO NOT buy from Topgunzcustom, off of ebay..you'll regret it later.
i also run the yellow bilsteins and iirc they are the same for 250's and 350's.....very nice ride.....shouldve got them for the X instead of the max control's.....got mine from autozone...
I bought the RS9000XL because I like the adjustability - turn it down for running without a load and then up high for towing the 5er. I read a review that said the RS9000XL on 9 is like the Bilstien HD shock (they said too stiff when running empty) but you can turn down the RS. But I still prefer Bilstien for my impression of their quality. If they had an adjustable I think I would have bought them instead. But happy with my Rancho's so far.
I think y'all are putting too much brain power into shocks for a truck driven on the street. They are virtually all the same Bilstien Yellow is the Heavy duty and it fits both 250 and 350. They dampen the spring that's it.
Silver sports are a bit more aggressive in valving but not by a significant amount.
Y'all talk like you are jumping from street shocks to a Race Penske or Moton.
One thing I found with ordering Yellow Bilstien for 250 is what you get is not really a good length for my stock 2wd XLT. Ended up bottoming one out with my toy haulr hanging off the back and a bumpy road. Now have air rides and it's much better.
If I were in need of another set of shocks I would buy a pair of matching oval trak shocks like AFCO 7" or 9" stroke valved in a 5 or 6 in rebound and compression. (I'll have to measure).
