has anyone replaced factory shocks?my old truck drove badly when i bought it used so i put new shocks all around and it was a whole new ride, drove great no wash boarding over bumps very well mannered.my 05 drives nice but seems less controled in rough conditions.ford chose to put very cheap tires on this rig im thinking maybe the shocks arent premium quality.anyone improve ride quality with new shocks ?
The shocks are pretty good, but ive found the ride height of the rear has a lot to do with the bounciness. When i put lowering shackles on mine, the ride was MUCH better, no more bouncing around and much better handling.
I am running the Rancho 0"-2.5" RSX9000 shocks on the front, and the RS9000 at the rear. They have a 9-way adjustable valve, and ride much smoother and controlled than the factory shocks on my XLT. So yes, and upgrade was worth it to me.
thanks for the input guys.good to know that i will be able to change the handling with some new shocks.mines 4wd i wonder if bringing the front up instead of the back down would be ok or just make the conditions i dont like worse.

I've been thinking about getting them shocks, what settings are your shocks set on?
