I am rebuilding my rear springs today. I have already tore them down, installed new bushings, removed leaves to lower, and now I am ready to reassemble but I am not sure how to install my new spring clamps. I bought the clamps from Mid Fifty and they are shaped like a U with a bracket that slips over the top, but do I bend the top of the U out over the side of the clamp or bend it over the top of the bracket? I may be over thinking this but I want to make sure I do it right. Anyone used these before that could give me some advice or a picture of one installed?
Not on these. Just the U shaped lower part and the bracket that fits on top...so I take it the top part of the U is to be hammered down to hold it in place? And if so is it hammered over the top or sides?
