How many of you are having the shift "flare" issue and have you had any effective fix from the dealer? My '11 was having the 2-3 flare (misses the shift and just revs like you put it in neutral) and a delayed/harsh shift into reverse. The dealer reflashed it under TSB# 11-7-10 and it got its act together for about 7000 mi. Now its back to its old habits AND missing the 1-2 shift occasionally. I'm wondering if Fords ever owned up to the fact that they've got a lot more bad solenoids in circulation than they first thought. When I take it in I'm either told "unable to duplicate" (I must be lying) or it doesn't fall into the production window that calls for solenoid replacement, according to the TSB. I'm sure glad they have all these TSB's to do the thinking for them. Its (sadly) like the old sales counter joke " pointing at the item on the shelf wont help sir, the computer says were out of stock". On my last trip to the dealer I was basically told that they don't care how much I complain or what I spent on the vehicle, If the bulletin doesn't say to replace something-it aint happenin'.

 

Same problem. Dealer said no TSB for my truck but if he hears anything he'll let me know. This might sound crazy but that did NOT fix the problem. FYI, this is Place Motors in Webster MA.
