Stereo problem
I have a 2001 F-150 Super Crew Off Road truck. The single disc factory stereo, has had a cleaner run through it, it has been sprayed with canned air. BUT, it kicks the disc back out, calling it a "Bad Disc".
The truck has 233k on it, and never had a problem with the stereo.
Any suggestions ?? OR should I be looking for a new stereo ??
Thanx

radio problem
hello,
i had the same problem last year, it turned out that i had a cracked coil pack and the voltage leak made my radio do the "bad disk" dance. i also couldn't start the truck when it was damp or raining. its sounds weird but its true.

Same thing happened to my 2001 last year. The radio ran perfectly except for the "bad disc" notification. I pulled the OEM radio & installed a Jensen VM9214 with a TV screen, MP3 input, USB connection, back up camera detection ability. The OEM radio is shelved, waiting to be re-installed when / if I trade this baby in.
