Anyone ever have problems with the factory 6 disc having an intermittent high pitched whine? Doesn't seem to be related to anything else electrical (i.e. alternator, lighting, cd spinning, ). It's definately the unit itself, not the amp or speakers.

 

 

I myself had a bit of a whining sound coming out of my and all I did was turn the radio off and back on and all seem to work as advertised.

 

I been gettin the whine too. Turn off and back on and its gone at times. Sometimes it comes back though. Anyone have a cure or more feedback on this problem?

 

It only seems to come and go with a CD spinning and volume turned up. Once it starts, I can turn the volume down and it goes away...until the volume is turned up again, then it comes back after a couple minutes. It's definately in the head unit, not coming through the speakers. I wish it would get worse so I could let the dealer listen, right now it's so intermittent it would be a lesson in frustration.
