1993 bronco tailgate window

I have a 1993 bronco xlt and the tailgate window doesn't work but the defrost does. I have checked the fuses, both the dash and tailgate switchs, and the interlock switch on the tailgate latch, and they all work. Can any one tell me what could be keeping the window motor from working.

The window motor could be burned up or just not working no more.

Try direct power to the motor......then go from that result.

Use your volt meter and trace the wires back to see where the power fails at. It could be where the wires fold when the tailgate is closed and opened.

It could also be the wires coming from the key switch in the tailgate, i am pretty sure mine is shot in my 78, had to keep the bypass the PO did. I just had to replace the shoddy wiring he had for my own more reliable wiring.
