TS chip question

So before I found FTE I picked up some things to work on my 97 OBS PS. One was a K&N the other was a TS chip. I am planning on replacing the K&N with a RiffRAff but I am not happy with theTS chip because my EGT's have shot through the roof. Does anyone do reburns of the tunes on this chip? Who would you guys reccomend? I am not looking for anything fancy just more power when pulling my toy hauler, better shifts, and hopefully a little more economy.

97 OBS PSD, K&N FILTER , 3" DP, Kitty is MIA, 4 inch exhaust, TS chip.

I don't have any EGT issues with my TW chip...

What do you mean by through the roof? How heavy are you towing? Do you have an intercooler? Where are you measuring EGT's?

If I run it in stock form it will stay about 1150 at 55 mph. I am towing a 24 ft toyhauler that is about 8k loaded. The EGT sensor was put in on the exhaust manifold at the rear underneath on drivers side with help from everyone on here. It is in the same place as all the pics and tutorials put it. If I run the chip at the tow +50 hp my EGT's jump up to 1400-1450 at 50 mph. That was with 3 inch DP, w/o cat, but stock from cat pipe back. No intercooler. I have not had a chance to pull with it since I put in on the 4 inch.

How do I get a hold of Tony Wildman?

That's definately too hot. You can also get TW tunes from Cary at CT Performance... he's a dealer for Total Diesel Peformance (Tony Wildman).

You may want to consider adding an intercooler to also help keep your egt's down.

Maybe I missed it but what are your RPM's when you get that hot? If your lugging it the EGT's will go sky high.
