I just bought the same pipe from XDP a couple weeks ago. $ 91.00 shipped to my door. I like it. It fit nice.
was it a 2 peace? and iv read it helps spool your turbo faster and gives you better throttle response and more hp, is this true? and does it change the pitch of the exhaust?

Yeah, it's 2 piece. I also did a 6637 intake and 4" straight pipe right off the down pipe. Seems to spool up pretty well and sounds sweeeet! I've only driven it once since I did all of this, I'm still doing some other stuff to the truck. I just bought it.
i already have the 6637 and 4 inch strait pipe, was it pretty easy to put in? and did you have to fold up the lip on yours? and did you have to cut the stock one in half to get it out?

A downpipe alone isn't going to gain you much horsepower. You do need to mod the firewall a bit to get it in. A long crow bar or a portapower will do the trick. You should take a sawzall and cut the "cobrahead" of the downpipe and it will slide out the bottom.

I bought the truck with a bad E4OD trans so I did my down pipe while I had the trans out , so I didn't have to cut the old down pipe, and yes I did fold the pinch weld down (with a hammer) not much though. That will be hard to do with the trans in the way.
To install the downpipe, use a porta power if you can get access to one. Make sure that you clear the heatshield/insulative material away from that pinch weld. That stuff is surprisingly strong and will reinforce the pinch weld, keeping you from getting a good bend on it. I just used tin snips to cut it away and then used the porta power to great effect.
