I'm fairly certain the thermostat housing was identical...

I don't believe it was cold.. I can verify that in the morning when I get back to working on it.

Is it possible for the PSD's to get airlocked in the cooling system. I've done this with other vehicles, but not a PSD.

Ok I think I got it... Took it for a drive today and it didn't get above where it normally sat before on the temp gauge... I drove it with the heat on full blast and I think that did the trick. I will continue to monitor it though.

Thanks for your help guys.

I was low on coolant in mine and the T-stat didn't open up nor did the radiator cap.

Boy it let out smoke for a long time.
Well, steam, but whatever.

On another note, my dash temp gauge actually works now.
Must have been corroded or something.

Recently I ran a tank out of fuel. As a re-fueled it smoke came out!!!

Will Shell Rotel ELC harm the stock water pump? I'm replacing mine and that is what the previous owner has had in it for the last 75k miles.
