Clutch position switch

The clutch position switch is out again on my '00 f350. I replaced it a couple months ago and now its out again. It's a PITA to get to and I don't really think I need it anyway. Is there an easy way to bypass the switch?

Hmmm. Never had that problem. The BEST way IMO is to buy a used switch and cut the factory connector off it and make a bypass jumper. Just have the wire go out and back in the connector to complete the circuit. That's assuming all the switch does is complete the circuit.

As long as you don't have a remote start I think you'd be ok.

i just jumped the wires. i believe there are 4 and they are across from each other...again i think. i was just searching for my post about it and cannot find it. but i saw others say you lose cruise, but the way i did it, the cruise worked fine. i built 2 jumpers with male ends and attached them to the factory plug. my switch was busted.

remember - you can, with this, start the truck in any gear without the clutch pressed. please be careful not to launch the truck into someone or your garage door.

Thanks guys. I was going to disconnect the ignition wire running to the starter relay and just install a push button starter but I would rather be able to start it with the key. I'll jump the wires on the switch and see if that takes care of it.
