Giving Tyrant Diesel Tunes(formerly BTS tunes) a try

Well, i bought a TS Chip last year, got a smoking deal on it, paid $100, apparently the guy didnt know what he had, LOL. Well, i recently talked with Cale at Tyrant Diesel and i told him i had this TS Chip and just been curious about some other tunes that are out there. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE my DPTunes, but you see soooo many people using different tuners, and i figured id give it a go. I have had DPtunes for almost 6 years now and my truck runs flawlessly. Anyway, Cale said for me to send it down and he will put some tunes on it, and says i will really like his tunes. Im pretty excited about trying these tunes out. He does a few things differently, so we will see how i like them. I sent the chip off yesterday, he should get it Monday and hopefully i will have it back by Friday next week

Just from my conversations with Cale, he definitely will take care of his customers. I will let you guys know how i feel about the new tunes. And from my minimal experience and conversations with Cale, id definitely recommend him to anyone, have always heard nothing but Great things about him.

Keep us posted on what you think Ken.

I was not aware they changed names. Is this just the tuner side?

BTS didnt change names, Cale broke away from his Dads business and started his own. BTS is still BTS, i just used BTS in parentheses because im sure a lot of people were familiar with the tuning from there.

I am sure Cale will do you right. I don't think I have ever heard from anyone who wasn't happy with his tunes yet.

Can't wait to see what the Dyno tune will do on your truck.

Me too Ken. I actually didnt get a dyno tune. Since i was going to have a 140 tune i figured i would try without a dyno tune, the only thing he changes is no downshift, but i have dynoed several times and felt i didnt need that tune. Im curious how it is compared to my DP Tunes on the dyno also.

Subscribing! I have my truck almost up to par on maintenance, and once I get my glowplugs installed and finally hook up the gauges sitting on my work bench, I will be finally ready to get a tuner!

i was reading your sig and it says BTS. you got the full trans or just a vb. did you go to lead hill to have it built? if you did then you know Cale is a stand up guy and very easy to work with. my father-in-law has his tunes and loves them. he's pretty bright....

Yes i have a full BTS, and unfortunately i wasnt able to go to Lead Hill. I had it built while i was in Afghanistan and had it waiting for me when i got home. From my conversations with Cale, you are spot on about your description of him. One reason why i am so anxious to try these tunes. Also looking to upgrade to either a Modded H2E or a GQSSB from WOP. I always knew my 38R was holding me back, so Cale and i were discussing my turbo options last night./

He also received my chip yesterday and said he will send it out today, so hopefully have it no later than friday!
