08-11 tail light conversion
Got a friend who had to get new tail lights for his 06 F250 and since he's wanting to eventually get a 08 tailgate he went ahead and got a set of 08-11 tail lights off of ebay. Now he's trying to figure out where to get the sockets and plugs and everything he needs to be able to hook them up. Anybody know? Thanks.

You can get new connectors at Autozone.. I am sure they sell them for the bulb number required for the reverse bulb. They sell them because over time the plastic dries out and becomes brittle from the heat of the bulbs..

Oh ok. Sounds good. I'll check into it.

Is the reverse light socket the same, just needs extending? Or will he need that socket also?

it is a different style bulb, it needs a new socket and needs to be extended because the reverse light is at the top of the housing.

When you look up bulbs for the reverse lights and tail lights on auto zone they show the same style bulbs and part numbers.

Correct. No changes need to be made to the tail/brake light.
