08-11 tail light conversion
Got a friend who had to get new tail lights for his 06 F250 and since he's wanting to eventually get a 08 tailgate he went ahead and got a set of 08-11 tail lights off of ebay. Now he's trying to figure out where to get the sockets and plugs and everything he needs to be able to hook them up. Anybody know? Thanks.

You can get new connectors at Autozone.. I am sure they sell them for the bulb number required for the reverse bulb. They sell them because over time the plastic dries out and becomes brittle from the heat of the bulbs..

When you look up bulbs for the reverse lights and tail lights on auto zone they show the same style bulbs and part numbers.

Everything you need is in the description of this video:
The bulbs come in 2 wattages, a low wattage for corner lights, and the higher 17w bulbs which are great for this application. The bulb is a 921.
The socket is Dorman 85814.

Correct. No changes need to be made to the tail/brake light.
