What I'm getting at is who can I call give my mods over the phone, the tunes I want, and a credit card number and they will mail me a chip burned according to my mods....then ship it out, that is all. Do I also need to order a led selector switch as well for the chip. Sorry for these questions, just new to it.

Who did you go through?
Riffraff can handle it for you.

DP Tuner is a tuner. They use a different chip (Moates) than the other tuners. They also are the only tuner that has the digital display to show what tune number you're in, and yes, you'll need to order that if you go with DP.

You can call them directly, or you can go through one of their vendors (like Riffraff). Your choice. The tunes all come from DP.

DP Tuner
Custom Tuning: 828-221-0076 Ext 100
<ADDRESS>Customer Service: 828-221-0076 Ext 101</ADDRESS><ADDRESS> </ADDRESS><ADDRESS>Riffraff</ADDRESS>Toll Free: 866-446-3360

Other popular tuners are:

Total Diesel Performance
PHP (Power Hungry Performance)
Gearhead
Swamps
BTS (Brians Truck Shop)
Beans Diesel Performance

Technically, DP is the only tuner that can put tunes on the Moates chip.

I bought my chip used...

Another quick question.... I have read up on the threads regard IC installation on the osb 7.3. Besides lower EGT's when towing, is there much of a performance number gain from it. I was considering the Banks IC kit down the road. Like I have said in other posts this truck is mainly for towing and I'd like to do whatever I can to keep it happy as long as I can. 1400 bucks is pretty steep, but I'd be willing to do it if its going to keep me a bit safer towing around here in CO mountains.

If you tow heavy and get a chip and wanna use the extra power from a chip a IC is must to get the egts down when you lay Down on the skinny petal you can build a IC cheaper than $1400

Good to know, Hopefully mid summer I'll plan a weekend around this. The current race trailer is not a heavy load maybe 8k but the one I'm looking will be around 16K loaded.

Did you build your own piping? I wish I had simple cad drawings of what is needed....hell we used to bend all the intake stuff for ATS at the shop I was working at. If I had a CAD drawing I could just shoot my old boss an email and say bend it....

Another question was a different intake X pipe needed? Is polishing up the stock one worth it or not?

I am still new to all this, but I just put a TS chip with PHP tunes from KT Performance. I really like it. Big power and shift difference. You may want to check it out.

We dont have an IC spider with our truck.

You have to make one or steal one.

yup I posted up another thread a little later on addressing this. I'm using a 99.5+ spyder and 3" plenums. Fab up my own turn out and flange for the turbo and put a 6.0 IC in. I have the piping and cooler, just waiting on the spyder to show up.

Still looking for a boot kit.

Yeah I was not sure of that... I need to probably give him a call since the boots I need are not stock size at all for the OBS trucks... Sort of a mix and match from the 99.5+ boots and 6.0 cooler boots and the funky 2 to 3" reducer I will need
