ts performance vs dp tuner

I am wondering if I should keep the ts chip that I had in my OBS, and just send it back for reprogramming for my early 99. Or would I be better off to go all out and get a dp chip. BTW I can drive to dp in about an hour (I hadnt heard of them back when I bought the ts)
Thanks

All i will say without getting yelled at, is that i have had both the TS performance and the DPtuner and now i have DPtuner and won't go back to TS performance.

Last time I heard, DPT, TW, TSP and the others have a gentleman's agreement not to burn each others chips.

I've tried both chips, and dp-tuner is what stayed in the truck. Definitely drive up and see Jody.

Why bother. The F5 is only $45 right? By the time you fool with shipping to and from etc. Sell the TS and get a DP. Yes, I currently have a TS 6pos. I believe the agreement may have stemmed from TS supplying the chip to DP but that is no longer the case. Still may be in place though, but why bother?

Good Point, I would like to meet Jody anyway. Like I said it's only about an hour drive. Plus I'll get to try it out coming over sam's gap on the way home.

I once wondered if there was a real difference between the programming in both the ts and the dp chips. One of my thoughts was that maybe jody's tuning in the trans was what made everyone say that his is better and that for a vehicle like mine, 6 speed, it wouldn't matter because my truck would only use the tunes for the engine. Well i currently have both chips (and yes i still haven't replaced my clutch yet so it slips with just a mild acc in 3rd so hopefully that will be fixed next week) and the ts is still sitting on my shelf ever since i got the dp. Even with my clutch slipping if i get on it the dp feels stronger than the ts. So my answer for u is that i DEFFINANTLY don't regret spending that 450 for the dp.....how i do wish i could get the money back for the ts.......

yes sir..if you have the XLE computer code in your early 99..id get the DP tuner..most super chips and off the shelf programs wont work well with the XLE computer..but Jody has one hell of a chip for that computer..strong HP gains with higher boost and lower EGT's ..it also has an excellent shift tune..
