So got a 1960 F750 few weeks ago and was looking at insurance got a quote of like $60 a month that's crazy... I am with USAA and they couldn't do it with a normal policy had to be commercial business type policy. I was hoping to get an idea of what type of cost anyone else pays for a truck like this. Also looking for the curb weight? Right now the truck has a dump boddy but no Idea what I might do with it. At this point nothing!!
Yard art? I have an F350 dump I use on my acreage. I doubt it will ever see pavement, insurance, or anything else. If I need gravel I can have it delivered for less than license and insurance
ha ha ha I dont have much of a yard! If you wanted to go with acres around 1/10 of an acre. So not a lot of need for a dump truck but I liked it when I found it so it made it's way home with me.
Scrap the dump bed and build a tiny house. Is the csb the same suze as f600 and smaller? Hard to tell by photo. Hood looks like 58, grille like 59 or 60.
Dont think 4 people and 3 large dogs would fit well in a tiny house. The bed I would be fine selling but not just going to send it to scrap. It still functions don't like to trash things that can be used. Willing to sell theFrom what I know the cab's are all the same size. The grill on the 1960 still uses tooling from 59 for the F750.
59 and 60 smaller trucks had same grille Hood dipped down over grille 57 and 58 were straight across like yours. 60 had small Ford hood emblem and 59 had Ford spelled out.
What do you intend to do with it? If it's just for the heck of it, have you looked at Hagerty insurance? My 1972 C900 is 350/year with the historic plate. With a regular plate it would be $500/year.
Called insurance company again about a week ago have insurance on the truck and plates to put on it. Insurance is under $240 a year. Plates and just basic year to year as I still dont know what I am doing with it.
Oh found the curb weight too, or what I am guessing is the weight from when it was first built without a body on it. So just the cab. It was if I remember when I went to get title in my name 5300lb...
I have an F100 and a F600, both '59's. Insurance is the same for each. I don't remember how much, but about $200/year each. I have Farm Bureau Ins, got rid of USAA years ago when I had problems with a claim.
Curb weight on the F600 with a dump body is 9000 lbs.
