'63 Ranchero 'Weight'

Yo Folks!

I have to complete a form for my Application for Title, and one of the spaces is "Weight". Not GVW, or anything else, just "Weight"

Does anyone have a guess as to the "weight" of a '63, (standard 6 cyl, 3 spd on the column) ?

My guess is it's pretty light relative to the later models, but I really have no idea what to put in that space.

Doesn't anybody have a title for a round body that has the weight listed, that would be willing to look it up for me?

I'd drive it down to the truck scales, but it's up on 4 jack stands, and without a title and no plates makes it a bit difficult to drive.

Regards,
Charlie
'63, with a lotta work need!

Charlie,
I couldn't find the title for my '63 chero right off so I went to carnuts.com where they have the stat's for just about all early Fords and found on the weight it states : min/max 2348/2463. I assume the min is the economy I-6 and the max is the loaded V-8. I hope this helps and good luck with your project.
Jammero.
PS. Are you keeping it stock or upgrading?

Thanks for the help!

Once I have a title, I don't think the State really cares whether I mod it or not. I don't think they really care about the weight, as we're not taxed by vehicle weight here, but by value.

My guess when I take it down to get it registered was gonna be ~2600 lbs, as I understood that was about the weight of the Chevy LUV trucks.

Regards,
Charlie
