TPMS solution needed

I have a 2008 F250 FX4 CC that I recently traded my 2005 SD in for. I am looking for a solution to the TPMS transmitter. My truck didn't have one in the glove box. I rotated my tires and need to reset the light. Does anyone know where I can get one cheaper than the dealer, they want around $60 for it and it looks cheap as hell. Is there and after market one that might work or is there any other way to reset the light without this transmitter.

Thanks,
John B.

There should be a procedure out-lined in your owner's manual to alleviate this problem.

I am pretty sure the dealer is the only place to buy them. However if you bought it from a dealer, tell them it was not in the truck at the time of purchase and they might give it to you. I'm sure if you go to the dealer to get the TPMS reset, it will cost you more than $60.

What air pressures are you running?
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but i vaguely recall that the F250's didnt come with the TPMS reset unit, just the F350's?
It has to do with the higher weight rating and rear tire pressure to accomplish this on the F350...

I am running 65 PSI. When I rotated them I guess the pressure was just enough off to trip the light. My F250 deffinately has the monitor, I haven't ever heard that only the F350's had it.

Thanks,
John B.

The F250's have the TPMS (except the Job 1 trucks). The sensors are all at the same pressure on an F250; however, the F350 has sensors set to a higher pressure on the back axle than the front axle. There is a procedure (on F350's) to 'teach' the system when you rotate tires...

Oh it has the monitor, what he's saying though is that the F250's have the same rating front and back so there was no need for the reset tool.

My 2008 F250 does not have the same pressure for front and back and it came with the transmitter. It is supposde to have 65 front and 75 rear but I can run 65 on all four without tripping the TPMS. Your best bet if you don't want to buy the transmitter is to borrow a buddies. It only takes a couple minutes to reset.

No camper package unless it's the same as the tow package.
