Oasis Report?

HI All,
Brand new to the forum and on the verge of buying(put deposit) a 2005 6.0 with 73000 mi Carfax comes back good and I read on a few of the posts about an oasis report? never heard of such a thing and how do I go about getting one if I'm not buying it from a ford dealer?

the vin#1FTSW21P65EC66941

any input on the 6.0 would be greatly appreciated! ~ thanks! John

Take your vin#1FTSW21P65EC66941 to your local Ford dealer. They should supply you with one.

This vehicle has only ever had ONE dealer visit to date. Back in November 2006, this vehicle saw a dealer visit for a reflash and an updated coolant degas bottle level indicator decal. No other visits to date. It doesn't get any cleaner than this.

Well thats good news! thank you very much, I was and still am a little nervous about the 6.0 but this truck is a beauty all I really will be pulling is a light boat or 2 fourwheelers/snowmobiles. With the truck approaching 75000-100,000 miles should I have any concerns? thanks again.

I love forums and this one seems to be the one for ford trucks!

The 05 is known for a leaky HPOP quick connect fitting. That's all that comes to mind specific to the MY 2005.

If you haven't already check out the Tech Folder. You will finds lots of good info on the 6.0.

Also check out the following thread for some good tips on what to look for when buying a used truck.

Good luck with your purchase.

Cooling system filter asap and maybe you can then avoid any oil cooler problems. I have a stock 04 F250. Oil cooler plugged with sand at 92 thousand. Replaced the oil cooler and egr (old 03 build engine and cooler) but put a stainless freeze plug in the exhaust input side of the egr cooler. Now at 105 k and not a lick of trouble. Great powerful truck even in stock condition. I used the NAPA cooling system filter and am happy with it and its performance. I am on the 4th filter and the last was pretty clean after 2500 miles. First few were a mess.
