I ordered these from summit racing and was wondering if anyone has used them and if they will work prior to tearing into the job. We have some new coils to put in and hope these will give us another inch or so. Is there a reason they will not work or a better product I should use instead.
I don't think you'll be able to get it aligned with more than 2 inches of lift. Besides that, wont the front be higher than the back with that spacer. I'm also not sure it will fit the spring. Well I guess we need to know what springs you got. Are they stock, leveling, or replacement F250 springs?
Stock replacement springs, the back is way high since the new leafs went in. I my just buy the cc844's and be done with it but these were cheap and I already had the new stock coils. I think maybe I am making more complex then I need to be.
I had never seen any of these before and the summit picture just showed a generic pic. Having not put new coils in a TTB front before I was wondering if anyone had seen or used this type before.
i too got new stock size leaf springs and it jacked my rear end way up..... and i have seen too many people on here with the moogs that barely lifted the front at all i guess it depends how much your old springs were wore out.......either way i got the 2 inch spacers so i could get a true 2 inches of lift
Hey guys thanks for the all the feed back. The plan now is to put in the cc844's and see where we sit. If we still do not like the rake of the truck I think we are thinking we may pull one leaf out. I also ordered some pro comp ES 1000 front shocks from JC whitney, $58 bucks for the pair free shipping right now.
On the alinement for the front, I stopped and talked to the local frame shop guy I know pretty well to get an idea on cost for the TTB job. Four wheel alinement is $100 complete, nothing extra for cams or nothing. The way I have been reading around here it sounded like I would need to spend a whole bunch more then that. So my advice is ask around and find the experts. How truck is pretty rusted and old and he said it will not be an issue and in fact about a 45 minute job, pie of cake.
