My truck has given me alot of problems ever since i changed the fuel filter. the plastic clip on the backside broke and it blew the line off. another time it blew the line offf with a new clip. after that i attached a screw-down clamp to it. it worked for like 2 months, but now its just blowing off again. Any advice??

What replacement filter are you using? Are the Fuel Pump & Throttle Body still stock?
Sometimes the emission system can cause major screw ups. Have you pulled the computer codes & if so what are they?
By the By hows the new Big Bronco?
JK
Its OEM filter, TB, and FP. havent tried to pull codes cause i never bought a reader. I love the big bronco but my parents wont let me drive it till i sell the b2 . cant have them all at 17.

Ok I can apprecieate tight budgets. Tim, it's time to make some local Ford friends especially with your Big Bronco in the works. See if there is someone in a local FTE or 4x4 club that might have a reader who will help you out.
Before the BII started popping fuel filters, say a week or more before, did you smell gas around the front end? Even though hadn't filled up for a few days?
I'm kind of reaching here but I did have a similar problem that turned out to be emission system related. It didn't blow up the filter because I had moved the filter to the intake side of my new Stewart Warner Pump. It did however blow up the PITA Throttle Body! The Govt. mechanic that we must take our Commie vehicles to said that the "Thermactor System" had failed and I needed to replace it. New Pump, some Air By-pass Valves & a new Throttle Body. $900.00 Great Running B II Priceless!

It doesnt really smell like gas till the thing drops to about 800 rpm and it stalls when i hit the gas. then it pours. i got a lil creative with some zip ties and its worked for a day now. i think its something with the fuel line on that side or maybe my filter clogged already(even though its no older than 3 months). when it sells ill just let the new owner to replace the filters(all that need to be replaced) and do the tune up. Other than this one problem the truck has ran better in the last week than ever before. i think she doesnt want to go so shes acting nice. Vehicles get jealous.

Too true! They always run better with a "For Sale" sign on them. Tim is this the B II that got flipped a few months ago? That might explain plugged filters.
