Question Compression tester parts help

Compression tester parts help, i have a comperssion gauge that goes to 1000psi that will work. but i need an adapter, will this one work? eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

it looks like the 10MMX1MM O-ring boss thread. will this one fit past the rocker arms?
thanks Matt

Hey Matt, it kinda looks like it would. Mine has that fitting with a grease tube threaded to it. When you thread it in all you need to do is put a lil twist in the hose. The o ring should do the rest. Make sure after you pull the gp's you spin it a lil before you install the adapter. Need anything give me a shout!

Good luck with the builds, the fitting appears that it will work, do you have a hydraulic shop nearby? It's a relatively common adapter 1/8" pipe X 10X1MM. I too use the 18" grease whip with the adapter since it allows that slight bend to get around the rockers.

my gauge has the span end on it that should just hook to it.
if not CarQuest has a hydraulic shop and can get it if needed.

Just unplug CPS or IDM relay or 42 pin connector, you don't want the injectors running.

Can I ask why such a big gauge? Or is that something you just had laying around and decided to put it to good use.

To pull the drive side valve cover you will be unhooking the wiring harness anyways. So unless you go out of your way to reconnect it, injectors won't fire.

it is what i all ready have. the other one i have only goes to 300psi. most diesel gauges are 1000psi hard to find one that is less.

I think you want a gauge that reads in about the middle. It's what I was told once before and just made since. My hpop gauge goes to 3000 psi, my comp gauge goes to 1000psi, my fuel goes to 100 psi, and my oil goes to 100 psi, boost goes to 40 psi. I did have a 60 psi gauge on my oil pressure but when cold it would get maxed out.y point is most of the pressures I run are somewhere in the middle of these gauges. Except for boost!
