Hey Donniezyea,
did you use the bolt in the block that the old ground used to connect the new ground? And here is my real dilemma. If you follow the ground real carefully it connects to the frame on it's way to the block. I have no freaking clue how it is connected there. Its a hard spot to find but it doesn't look like it's clipped or bolted but it's stuck to the frame pretty good, definitely intentional.
yes i used the same ground bolt on my truck to connect the new cable. I bypassed that ground to frame bracket the old wire is clamped in not needed as there are other frame to chasses ground straps functioning. Glad to have helped you and anyone in the future hope all stays working well!!! Did you notice your truck turns over faster at all?? I did.
oohhhhh yeah. She starts like a champ now. Funny story, the day after I replaced my cables I started it multiple times throughout the day and while it sure started faster it sounded weird. About four starts later i think, "hmmm that sounds like... damnt I forgot to tighten the bolts on my starter." haha I had only tightened the bolts finger tight the night before until I finished wiring the cable but totally forgot to tighten them on when I finished. So I just went home and tightened them up, not a problem. But yes, starts much faster now and everything seems like it working better including all my lights. You were a great help, never woulda knew napa had those parts without you.
P.S. the new cables did not fix the dipping volt meter like in the video someone posted to help me before so I'm gunna assume for sure that most of the trucks do that normally. (though it did fix my twitchy gauge of coarse)
OOO Confusious Say " Never do something later, that you can do now" specifically tighten the bolts on a starter. PS been there, done that, got the t shirt.

And what other effective block to frame, or chassis grounds are there???
You might be surprised when your throttle cable starts smoking!
