Just wondering about an odd stalling problem I have,
1977 Ford F250 4X4, 300ci...
Starts runs and turns great however, every so often when turning the wheel even slightly (changing lanes) the truck will start missing and stall. Much more noticeable in a parking lot while parking....
Truck is not in gear while this is occurring, the clutch is usually depressed.
Has happened on both left and right turns.
Loads: radio was on, wipers on slow speed, no heat or a/c, no lights.
Kind of WAG, but I might pressure test your power steering system to see if you have a restriction. This would make the pump work harder, and in a situation when you don't have the throttle open (clutch depressed I'm assuming you're not on the gas) the load could be too much and bog the motor down. I've never heard of something like that before, but I don't think its impossible.
