Yep, mine are secured in a special box I built. I'm known to be hard-headed, but don't imagine even my overly thick cranium could stop a 100# IHC suitcase weight.

this is my setup. my dad is/was a wood worker so we made a way to nice box/container to hold the blocks. we got a sheet of plywood and screwed the plywood to the box and then put the blocks in the box. works good and i have no issues with the blocks moving around.

I'm glad that some of you think for the unknown ... I saw a truck just this AM with huge chunks of concrete just setting in his bed AT THE TAILGATE!

I left them a note:
Think about what them concrete blocks are going to do if you hit something or someone hits you!

Bet they don't get it! (the understanding)

-Enjoy

'94IDITurbo7.3 Wow, you have one hell of a finely tuned IDI. Ford250 Said it when he said your going to make us envious. Lol, i hope to get mine to that point, not cause i want to do burn outs but because i want to have a little more pride in that $3,500 I spent on the truck.

Maintain that beast hopefully it will last you forever. Congratz on the great find.

wow, thanks. i am actually looking to get a new(er) truck some time in the fairly new future. i know these trucks are not hot rods, but it SUCKS having to give the thing 3/4-full throttle to keep up with cars taking off from stop lights. it will be another diesel though. as far as having it tuned good.......it's not. has a diesel care rebuilt pump on it. not turned up at all. turbed engine only putting out 5 psi if i go WOT from a stop pretty much. 8 rebuilt injectors that were not pop tested by me before install. factory intake box with tube going to cowl. factory exhaust with crushed down pipe, and muffler. it does not start good at all in the cold either unless the block heater is plugged in. this thing is a PITA to drive in hills as well, but that is b/c the TPS needs some FINE tuning.

if my truck is fine tuned, i would hate to see/drive a poorly tuned IDI.
