Sounds like you are burning engine oil. Does it smell like burnt engine oil? Could be the seals in the turbo or a hundred other things. Give us more details.

How many miles on injection pump? You could also try putting atf in the fuel filter, run it a bit to fill the ip with it an let it sit over night to try and clean the internals, or even slightly advance the timing aswell....lot cheaper then messing with the turbo right at the start

Another easy thing to do is clean your CDR valve mine was having some blue smoke and I took the CDR off it was full of oil so I soaked it in gasoline over night, no more blue smoke. Start with the easy/ cheep stuff I wouldn't recomend rebuilding your turbo or engine right off the bat.

Wouldn't blue smoke imply that the oil is not being burned in the combustion process in a Diesel? People run UMO and that smokes but it is a much higher concentration of oil being run through the combustion process than crankcase vapors, right? I guess if the CDR is clogged, it could be pushing oil past the rings and valve seals. So, Waystro, does your truck consume a lot of oil? Cleaning the CDR can't hurt.

Try taking the oil cap off and placing your hand of the fill tube. It shouldn't build much if any pressure. If it does, your CDR is clogged. Keep an eye on the engine oil dipstick as it might pop out if has not already.

Since you have the ATS setup, it should be the round tuna-can device attached to the air cleaner. There are two bolts and a hose that needs to be disconnected before you can remove it. It may be easier to take the air cleaner off first.
