I have a 1983 Ford 6.9l. When I was fiddling with the glow plug harness the other day the connector that is right on top of the passenger side valve cover connecting the individual glow plug leads to the relay crumbled. It is a six prong gray plastic connector. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for this part, at this point I only get power to two of the plugs. Thanks
Thanks for the help, i was able to reuse the spade connectors that were there once the plastic insulation was removed and wrap them all seperately in heat shrink, getting power to all plugs now. I found the part # like someone suggested but not even the Ford dealer here in Dallas had it.
I found the ID engineering # like someone suggested but not even the Ford dealer here in Dallas had it.
There are NO Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just casting or ID engineering numbers, when applicable.
ID numbers must be crossed over to Ford part numbers, using the Master Cross Reference Catalogs. Casting numbers are foundry markes, cannot be crossed to Ford part numbers.
If you call around to dealers, and/or search online website for an ID number, you won't find diddly-squat, because it is not a part number..
I asked for the ID number so I could cross it over, get the Ford part number. Then I woulda searched for it, posted the part number, sources/phone numbers that had the part in stock.
