Shift lever installation
I have a 1977, F-150 460cid, Explorer model. I purchased this truck new and currently in the process of restoring. Recently the sterring colums Shift collar broke (fairly common), for which I have replaced. But my problem is installing the shift lever. In the collar are two springs and a pin. I am not able to compress the pin enough to inser the shift lever. Any ideas!!!!!! Thanks.
