Shift Lever Removal
1964 F100 Automatic
Does the roll pin come out through the top or through the bottom?
I cant tell.
I want to see if my shift lever is worn, the truck will not stay in park.

7A216 is a detent aka shift gate, tab on shift lever rides against it. When tab and/or detent wears, shift lever can pop out of park, and...
You may have to wiggle the shift lever to get the truck to start in park and/or neutral. 3 C1TT-7A216-A detents available NOS
The hole in the 7228 shift collar where the roll pin fits thru it...can become elongated. Shift lever wiggles. 2 C0DZ-7228-A A/T shift collars available NOS
The end of the shift lever fits into round hole in the 7212 shift tube. When the hole becomes elongated, the shift lever will wiggle around. 4 C3TZ-7212-A A/T shift tubes available NOS
