Shift Lever

Last night when moving truck, Pulledn shift lever and it appears to have broken, not allowing me to place vehicle in neutral. Could anyone give me an idea what to look for. Thanks Ron Crawford

You should be able to pull the boot and unsrew the top and pull the shift lever and see if it is broke.
