Quick Question

Quick question, what year did the 300 come out? I have a 66 F-100 with an I-6 in it, and it seems to have too much power to be anything smaller than a 300. What's most likely in it?

I think 1965, we had a 66 with a 300 in it and I think it was the original motor.

They came out in 1965. However, both the 240 and the 300 came out at the same time and are visually identical. I don't remember how to tell the two apart.
