Transfer case output shaft leak

I have a leak on the front output shaft of the transfer case. The yoke has come loose just a tad.

I need to know what size the nut is that holds the yoke on? Nothing I have will fit.

I used a 6 point 1 1/4" on mine a while back. It did the job, but the metric Chris is talking about might be better.

I have both a 6 point 1 1/4" 1/2" drive and a 1 1/4" 3/4" drive 12 point and neither would fit, to big on the out side, would not fit past the yoke. I'm going to try and borrow a 22 mm 12 point today.

How about the torque setting?

Do you think that the transfer case in my truck is a New Venture? I just found in an online manual that the torque setting for the front yoke is 165 lbs.

Those are good t-cases. Did you get fixed? The 1 1/4 I used was on a 1356 t-case, sorry.

Yes I did. I borrowed a 1 1/4" 12 point Craftsman socket that worked just fine. I did find that I have a U-Joint getting loose right at the transfer case the rear most joint of the CV joint. That is probably the reason the yoke became loose. The seal itself was not leaking the leak was out the front of the yoke by the nut. I was going to replace it just because, but the parts house didn't have the right one so I just tightened it up and see what happens.
