Hello all. I have a 98 f250 ld 4x4. I am looking to get a cold air intake system. I was looking at the banks cold air intake, and a few others. Does anyone have any input on this?Should I spend the money on banks or just get a different kind that is cheaper?

I bought one from here: Cold Air Intake, Programmer, Performance, Tuners, Bill's, Custom Intakes after I found him on eBay. The price on his website is $165. I got the one with a dry AEM filter. I did it to clean up my engine bay more than for performance. It has a shiny aluminum 4" intake tube. I've had it maybe a month, and have seen only slight gains in power. Again, I did it more for looks because I got tired of looking at that faded plastic dirty accordion. If you're going for performance go with the gotts.
K&N will do only one thing and that is lighten your wallet. You will get no gain in HP in normal driving, and no gain in MPG. The factory setup is cold air.. the aftermarket systems allow more intake noise to come out and it "sounds neat", leading some to think they are getting more power.
