Thanks guys for reading and posting! Well I'm going to start with the 6337 intake mod, AIH delete and the ccv mod. then I'm going to get the AE ford pack and gauges. Then I'm going to spend my time on that list linked in post #14 while I save a few bucks for the AE/Ford Bundle and gauges.

I want to put in the edge Insight CTS digital gauges and was going to get their tuner product also but it looks like you all think DP Tuners are the best. The DP Tuner product should work fine with the Edge digital gauges right?

Oh YEA DP Tuner product will work with the Edge digital gauges. Actually I am not sure if it will with the CTS? It should? And as it was said before Jody/ DP Tuner really know how to get the most out of our 7.3's The Edge tunes are JUNK!!! Just my 2 cents.
Also don't forget to get a good 4" turbo back exhaust because it won't do much good to get the air with the 6337 if you can't get it out.
I love watching other people spend money!!

What do you guys think about the AFE Bladerunner intake manifold vs the CFM+ manifold?

If I had the money to burn and couldnt think of anything better to do with it I would buy it... but I can come up with a lot better things to spend my money on. What I did with the intake when swapped my turbos was polished it. I got a flapper wheel for my die grinder and smoothed it out on the inside it took maybe 20 of polishing it before I was happy and it didnt cost me a nickle to do because I got the wheel from work.
Instead of the intake get yourself an exhaust

Welcome to FTE!! These are a bunch of good guys here. They have helped me out numerous times in the last couple of years. If I could offer my .02 than I would agree with some of the others and get the AE first. Before you put anything on the truck (and I know that it is tempting to start moding) make sure that you work out all of the bugs. There are a lot of mods that you can put on that can exagerate an existing problem and start throwing you off the scent as you start troubleshooting. The last thing you want to do with this truck is throw parts at it trying to fix it (trust me) becuase you'll blow your $3,000 mod fund in no time flat. Since you are going to be taking this thing into the mountains I think the first thing you should be thinking about besides performance and MPG is reliability. Look at things like the Hutch/Harpoon Mod, 50 cent mod, etc. If you do these now than you will definately thank yourself in the future. Also think about getting some spare parts (belts and such) to keep in you truck.

I personnaly don't care for lift kits much (I bought mine with a 4 inch lift and I'm getting rid of it so stay tuned). I'm a believer that they cause more harm than good. 2 inch isn't bad but anything bigger than that is just going to kill your front end and eat money in diesel fuel.

Are you going to be towing anything with a considerable amount of weight?

I just want to add to that a spare CPS in the glove box is a great idea, and you may want to change your HPOP lines for new ones because they have been going out on these trucks more and more, dont get stuck on the side of the road like I did

Heres me getting pulled home

Heres the back of the truck, If you put a big lift kit on like I did having a "drop bumper" as I call it isnt a bad idea, if your creative like I am you can incoporate anything you want into it, like I did with the shackle. It might look really low but its still 20'' off the ground at the lowest point

And heres all the oil that was on my tailgate after I undercoated the truck with amsoil.....

Well I started doing the "Bond with your truck" fix it/preventative list. Did the 6637 mod only slightly different. I didn't take the entire air box out. I left the bottom and middle and only threw out the lid with the filter minder. I spent some time cutting the bottom and middle pieces up so that I could still "kinda" use the air scoop. It also holds the filter in place. I have that air temp sensor located in the original hole in the air box. I also went to Napa to get the 6637 filter, which they didn't have. They did have a Spectre air filter on clearance for like $15.00. It is only slightly smaller than the 6637 filter.

In following with the advice you guys gave me to get the truck running real well before getting into modding I was looking around, cleaning and just getting to know the truck. I have oil pooling and dripping from the fly wheel cover between the 2 bottom bolts. Not major but it is dripping a little. After start up before the truck warms up it is really guttless and I can smell a funny smell. It smells kinda like oil burning but kinda like a fart also. The smell goes away fast but the get up an go doesn't kick in till it is warm.

After reading around here I think the oil drip is hpop, engine valley stuff related. I think it might need knew injectors for the power issue. What about the smell, whats that?
