Power Window Question
My 05 Super Duty crew cab driver's side power window has decided to quit! It is making a grinding noise like gears are misaligned.
I have the inside door panel off, and the plactic or rubberized plastic off, too. I also removed the door speaker to access the motor. I believe I see the bolts holding the motor onto the door.
Before I get over my head I was wondering if anyone on the forum has been here before and might guide me.
I have no problem digging into it but digging out of my forays especially without previous knowledge is costly...and my window could still be stuck down!

It's not always the cost, it's the pain, the regulator arms are under a lot of pressure and you need to lock the sector gear before you remove the motor, you can do that by putting a bolt and nut thru the backing plate and sector gear to lock them together
