They said its the fuel coolant cooler pump that is not doing its job....???...im not a diesel mechanic, im a plumber so i guess i just have to trust the dealership techs.... and if that doesnt fix it ill be bringing it back in till its done right... they will be doing it monday so ill keep u posted....thanks for everyones input thus far!

Yes....Please keep us updated. Mine is having a similar problem but I didnt notice any "fluttering" in the exhaust and it only lasted several seconds compared to the "3 minutes" you had. So Im think I may be having a different issue and posted another thread on it.
hey guys...i picked the truck up an hour ago ... so i'll see what happens this week...im not too confident that this will fix the problem but i guess ill have to wait and see how it goes... ill keep u all updated!... and to the last post- i think u may be having a different problem because my symptoms seem to last for 3 minutes or so...and its definitely a white smoke rather than a grey... good luck with getting that taken care of though!.... i do wonder if dealerships dealing with vehicles under warranty try to go about fixing issues the cheapest way possible as opposed to the right way or best way possible.... everyone says its an egr issue, they say its a "fuel cooler coolant pump".... well we'll see.... thanks for everyones help!!!

They replaced the fuel coolant cooler pump....it DIDN'T fix the problem...the truck did the same thing last night and again this morning....so im going to drop it off again next monday...i hope these guys know what their looking at or what they should be looking for....this is becoming an inconvenience!
so....i got the truck back...they said they were doing everything ford told them to... they ran it through a regen cycle manually... they think it was getting stuck in regen cycle and not completely cleaning itself.... they told me to put some mileage on it and get report back to them...so once again i will keep you all informed!!!
Yes i always let it finish...but my last 2 regens took a really long time ...almost 40 mins to complete....and the last one i actually didnt let finish because i was driving in circles for 15 minutes before going into work and i was pissed and just parked...as soon as i put it in park it said exhaust cleaning complete....so i dont know if it actually completed or not....the 2nd to last regen was 150 miles from the previous and the last one was 50 miles after that...
