Blue/grey smoke....

I purchased this 2008 6.4L last month with 55K miles on it. I have put about 1,500 since. This was a Ford certified used vehicle so it came with a 3K mile warranty.

Situation:
I have noticed this 3 times in the exact same situation, in the exact same place every time.

The truck sits for 24 hours while I am at work (firefighter). I go home the same way every morning from work. When I leave to go home I drive for about 10 minutes in stop/start slower city type driving to get to the freeway/interstate. When I get to the entrance ramp to the intersate and begin accelerating to get on the freeway, I then begin to notice the blue/grey smoke in the mirror.....it is very noticable....not light....and occurs in the same spot every time. It lasts for about 5-8 seconds and then quits. There is no performance reduction, and I have scrolled through the "info" display while it is happening with nothing appearing.

Any ideas on whats going on here? I have about 1,500 miles left on this small dealer warranty.

Thanks in advance.....

build up of moisture in the cac.

If you are not loosing any coolant and you are not in regen.

Take it out and give it some WOT and see if you can get to clear out good.

When the boost start coming on the airflow is probably picking some of it up from the bottom of the cac.

Some people have it some don't.

Thats usually what I do when I see it. I figured whatever it is or was, it needs to get blown out. I have also heard that getting on the throttle often is good for these engines especially the EGRs. Dont know if that is true or not.

Thank you sir for your response....as always.
