wow, i would like to think that I read a lot of post here and stop in on a frequent basis, but that whole oil cap thing seemed to have gotten right by me. back to the drawing board today to check those items. Thanks again for helping run down this problem!
If you have access to compressed air, and can find a fitting, doing an air test is fairly easy and inexpensive - you just pressure up the ICP port. If you have a hpo leak, it might tell you where it is. It never mentioned replacing the standpipes or dummy plugs in the oasis, it's possible one of them has blown. Mine did it 2 weeks ago, just one o-ring on a standpipe, and I couldn't get over .56 volts cranking with the truck in the shop at room temp, 2 new batteries, and the battery charger set on kill.
in fact i do have the wrong size cap. I used a wix filter I removed the ICp sensor...at least what i beleive is....and it doesnt look like the picture post that you posted a link to. where is the screen?
I would get the right OEM Oil filter cap and Filter and give it a shot see if it will run
It doesnt always take out the IPR but does let to much oil drain off and then you might not have enough oil to send to the HPO pump
The wrong oil filter/Cap combo can cause multiple problems
the problem starts when folks run a wix cap/filter combo then get on here and read OEM Filters only they then change the filter back to OEM but NOT the CAP. The thing is theres an Oil Filter Drainback to crankcase that drains the oil filter housing when you pull the filter with the Taller cap It DONT close the drain and your constantly draining oil and not sending enough oil to the HPOP
Now if you had a Wix CAP and WIX FILTER at the time of the NO Start its probably not your Problem but is best to just switch back to OEM
