Installing remote start on a 2010 SD
I'm looking for some feedback on installing the OEM remote start on my truck. Dealership said sometimes it is easy, others it can be more difficult. Seems like these things should be fairly plug-n-play these days, but who knows.

i cant speak for your '10 but on my 08 it was def not plug and play, i looked afterwords and there wires ran, wires spliced into etc. it took the dealer probably bout 5-6 hours to do. they said they ran into a problem with their diagram not matching up with the wire colors in the truck.

When I spoke to the dealership a couple of weeks ago, the service guy said they just did one for a newer F-150 and it took the tech something like 8-10 hours to complete the work. They lost their shorts on the sale since they had to eat most of the labor.
If a '08 was a splice-job, I'd be willing to bet it is the same for 2010 models. Bummer…I guess I'll skip that accessory/mod.
