Ok so leaving work today and my dash light for a door being open was on so got out and closed all doors. Then it still stayed on but didn't worry cuz I knew they were closed.
Then got home turned off the truck opened the door and stereo stayed on. Pulled the fuse and plugged it back in and still went back on. Then went to lock the doors and the doors won't lock. So the truck is in locked and I have the stereo fuse pulled out so it won't drain my battery
What's my problem?? Thinking of in plugging the battery and see if it resets everything.
Have you tried spraying some WD-40 on your door latches? The switch that controls the interior lights is incorporated into that latch (just inside the door) and it's been known to stick from time to time. Usually some WD-40 will do the trick. Spray it on there and open/close the door a few times....usually works.
Agree with the door latch suggestion. My old expy did this once. Hour drive home in the dark with all the interior lights on. Got home and sprayed all the doors and it worked.

And that will cause the radio to not shut off also?

Possibly. On some models the radio stays on until the doors are opened. In your case the doors never were shut....(or at least the system believes that), so maybe it's not triggering the 'shut off the radio' command.
yes.. my driver door gives me fits i usually pop the inside handle a couple times and the radio goes off ...or open the passenger door....or push the lil latch in with your finger...if none of that works, the latch is not your problem
At work we have a couple of 04 Super Duties that have a sticking door latch, dome light stays on after ya shut the door but eventually times out because the key is out of the ignition. We tried some lube but no luck yet and the damn open door idiot light has been on the whole time.
We have an '02 Explorer that had a failed door latch switch on the driver's door. The way we first learned about it was t 3am when the alarm went off! It thought the door came open without being unlocked so it went off.
I tried the WD 40 trick on it but it didn't work. Had to actually replace the switch which is inside the door, underneath the latch mechanism. PITA to work on in the middle of winter.

^^^This^^^
It happened to 2 of my doors. It might take a few "applications" but soak it well.
Ok so tried the WD-40 and that didn't work I tried it on all doors but the radio did time out after the 10 mins
So I just unplugged the battery for the night hopefully it will reset itself. At least that will keep it from getting stolen since I can't lock it
The latch may not be triggering the sensor. The next time it happens, take your finger and push the bottom striker latch down, it will only move 1/4" or so. I'll bet that signals the gem module that the door has been opened. I am having the same problem on my Excursion and I have figured out it is my drivers front door. You can check yours one at a time to see which one it is. The replacement part is pretty inexpensive and it's not too much of a bear to replace. You have to pull the panel and disconnect all the rods and such inside the door though. Hope that helps a bit.
