Near as I can tell, you can swap bench seats, in any regular cab F-Series, from 1972-1996, Or Bronco from 1978-1996 you just need to swap the rails from your Earlier Seat onto the later one. I've done this about 20 times now, swapping the XLT Bench out of later trucks into Dentsides. I haven't had a bumpside to do it with, so I can't verify, but just looking at the mounting in the boneyard on some, I'm going to bet it will work as well, the floorpans are almost all identical, the mounting holes are just in different places.

Takes Zero modifcation, just unbolt your old tracks from the original seat, bolt them to the later one, then bolt everything into the truck.

Can't verify this for Buckets or Supercabs, as I haven't had an early Supercab to try it with, and I've never seen much use in a Bucket Seat in a regular cab pickup, so I've never tried it.

Nice seats. I assume they're no-airbag seats, so that's certainly a plus when swapping into a vehicle that can't fire the airbags. No need to carry around that excess weight. I also like the fact that the seat belts are integrated into the seats.

I've no experience working with 10th gen seats, so I can't add much specific info. I presume you're aware of the general differences between the Regular/Crew Cab seats vs. Extended/Bronco seats in the 8th/9th gen world, yes?

Yeah I definitely understand the uniqueness of the Ext Cab aka Supercab seats. I had an 8th gen extended cab with buckets and console, and those weren't bad. The 9th gen I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on has the bench seat though. Just a bit worried it'd suck for comfort on the long drives out to the Desert (like 8hr+ drives).

I’m gonna swap some 2008 Ford Expedition seats into my 97 OBS. I can’t find anything on these seats anywhere... Can someone help me identify the airbag wire/plug?

I want to make sure I have that disconnected before I apply any power.

Second question. Does anyone have the schematics for the climate control (heat/air)?
there are 7 wires entering the blower.

I have this in my build thread also. No body is commenting, so I’ll ask here.

my seat back recline/tilt motor has 4 wires going to it (they are zip tied) power, ground, and 2 trigger wires (I’m guessing) green/orange stripe and light gray/orange stripe. Does anyone know if there is a tilt switch that accommodates 4 wires?

I’m going to source a passenger harness to control the base movements (I’ve tested with my pass harness and it works).

I’m replacing this switch which has all the memory Stuffs.

Any help is appreciated!

I couldn’t get it to work. Tried applying power to all the usual suspects... NOTHING!

Mught try and find a schematic for the vehicle theyre from. Could be something odd, but usually power/ground/signal is all you need.

Hello all,

I am so confused........

I just picked up a 95 F150 extended cab. with a 5.0.
The truck currently has 2 buckets with a center console. The owner before me swapped out to the buckets, but the odd part is the driver seat doesn't have release to access the extended cab portion, the passenger does. I would like to ditch these seats and put in a bench seat again with a middle center. There is a lot of back and forth. I am also a visual learner so this is a bit hard since not many photos.
I also have a 77 classic so the terms thrown around are really confusing me more. supercab extended and the like.
So when a person says super cab i am thinking a full 4 door model. Dent sides only come in 2 cab models. LOL

I would like to strike gold and find a bench seat with a center console that is a direct bolt in.
So from what i leaned is I will need same model as mine or a bronco????
or I have to find both a pan and then i could bolt on any seat combo I want.
I have read this thread 3 times and get lost.

You have a 95 SUPERCAB. GM made extended cabs

As for your buckets, are they ford ones? Because ALL supercab and broncos that had buckets had the release to access to rear set area

By bench seat with "middle center" do you mean a 40/20/40? Basically 2 bucket seats with a center seat that folds down to be a console/armrest?

1977 classic? You mean Custom? Regular cab(2 doors ONE row of seats), SUPERcab, 2 doors(2 rows of seats, or 2 little rear jump seats), CREWcab 4 doors, 2 rows of seats

Again, by bench seat with center console, do you mean 40/20/40?

In order for a 40/20/40 to work in your SUPERcab, you would need one from a SUPERcab. Broncos never came with the 40/20/40

You COULD get a regular cab or crewcab seat pan but SUPERcab seats will NOT bolt on to it and they will NOT slide ahead to allow access to the rear

Thanks for your help. With Classic, it is a dent side 77 XLT camper special 4x4 400cc highboy. The vin puts it a Seattle order with the pre mid year to still be actual Hi boy.
As for this 95 (insert nickname?) This will be my towing wood hauling unit. I got it to keep my saws out of sight.
So it seems like the 40/20/40 are harder to come by, I can handle a bucket setup but would like to get the correct seats for it. I need them to slide/flip forward. The seats that are in it now are really tore up. The springs are showing on the DS since it was a carpenters truck it has seen a lot of in and out. Like I said previously DS doesn't have the handle to flip the seat forward.

Do any of the explorers from the same year have buckets that swap in?

I have only done seat swap once but that was from others knowledge and was the Ford Escort/ Mazda mx3-323 that were the same car different badges better interiors.

Appreciate all your wealth of knowledge.

Since my thread is still alive more than a decade later, I guess it makes sense to post my own seats.

Corbeau suspension seats in my '94 F350. The Corbeau brackets bolted to the floor with no issue, lined up great. The space between the seats has exactly enough room for this console. I think it is out of a brick nose Bronco(?) but I honestly do not remember. If this were the truck I drove every day, I would have taken these out already. The side bolsters are a PITA to climb over to get out of the truck. Not a big deal for truck pulling, but would certainly suck if you got in and out of the thing every single day.

GNR22, are those Corbeau seat brackets? I have seats waiting to go into my truck but I cannot find for the life of me something that will utilize my existing seat bolt holes. My truck originally had a bench so I found a 40/20/40 seat frame bracket and was going to see if I could bolt that in and bolt my seats to that.
