While driving a few nights ago my service engine soon light started to flash and then went away. Didnt seem to change the way it drove. Today I went to check if it came on and nothing. About less then a year ago had the cop changed. I have read that it might be a misfire. what can I check to make sure it doesnt come back on?
A flashing CEL is a warning that you have a misfire sever enough to destroy your catalytic converters. Your best option to find out which cylinder is misfiring is to have the codes read after the CEL flashes but before the truck is turned off.
Anaheim too, townhouse complex at Orangewood and West. I have an Innova 3140 scanner that I'm still trying to figure out since I rarely need it , if you want to come by the house, plug it in and maybe it will produce a code. I'll be working on the kids cars tomorrow but it won't take long. I'll be home Sunday as well, but maybe a few beers deep. Let me know if that works for you.
