If you have a tiny oil leak don't put it in your oil.trust me it makes a baby leak turn into a fountain.I have added it to the fuel before always about 3/4 tank to A whole can ,it did help clean the injectors
whenever i change a fuel filter I fill the filter with seafoam, start the truck and run it for a minute, shut it off for ten minutes and then drive the heck out of it. I like it.
I use Diesel Kleen, there have been much better results(well, more results). It made my injector knock go away on the 83 when i first bought it to drive home.
Probably right about "Joe brewing illegally down in his California basement." Read the label, alcohol makes it work. good for cleaning, but if you have a water problem can make it condense if you get too much. Also alcohol usually hard on seals.
I dont like it ihave nohting to base this conclusion of really but the two times ive seen it used and the stories i hear are not comforting. buddy put it in his chrysler and hasnt run right since.
It would depend how bad it was. If a system is extremely messy, it can get the crap loose, then it deposits elsewhere. I have never had an issue after using it, gas or diesel.
I first used it in the bike I had. I dumped in a whole can and after about 2 miles the bike ran like new! Since then I have used it in everything I own. First run of the spring for the mower or tiller and the weed eater lol. My baby and both our cars get it once every 6 months. I used to use type f trans fluid in my truck but fear of being "dipped" made me switch over.
