cleaning fuel system ?'s

My injectors are currently with Rosewood diesel getting rebuilt to stage II's. The truck ran like crap before and Gym at rosewood discovered that the injectors are pritty bad, so I know that the fuel system needs to be cleaned before the II's go in.
I know that I can clean the fuel filter tray easily
What else can I do?
How do you blow the lines?

This is what I would do cheif, that is if it is available.

When you get it all back together and running.
Go down to the station that has it and put in some bio diesel.
Then drive over to the parts store and get you 2 or 3 fuel filters.

Drive that sucker wherever you need to go and check the filter at the end of the night, dont forget to drain the bowl. that thing might be a bit dirty, if its not yet, just keep an eye on it, that bio will clean the system right out.

Now, I am not sure, but diesel kleen might help some.

And, dont try this unless somebody else talks more about it, but I think i heard somebody say to use acetone. I dont know on tihs one for sure, but that will do something.

The systems are not as bad as you think, but they will be bad, just keep an eye on the filter and change it when it gets bad.
The filter protects the injectors.

Your biggest problem was probably poor oil on the injectors.

So don't forget to change your oil when you get them new injectors in as well.

There was a thread years ago about the advantages and disadvantages of running a tank low on diesel. IIRC the best advice was to run the tank almost empty before switching tanks. The theory was to get all the junk out a little at a time. If you always switch tanks at, lets say 1/4 of a tank, this will allow junk to accumulate in the bottom of your tank and gradually increase over time. Then when you need it the most because you can't get to a gas station, then you'll be sucking up a bunch of crap from the bottom of the tank. In other words, a little junk at a time is better then a lot of junk all at once. I hope this made sense, I run my tanks almost empty before switching. Of course, I have a aux tank as a security blanket. When I had to drop one of my tanks it was clean as a whistle.
