Question Life Pump

OK got ? here i want do away with the LP on motor that because my wife had go to Ga. yesterday and on her way back truck ran out fuel she said there was 1/8 tank in the front tank and there was 3/8 of fuel in the rear and that what she was running on she getting ready get off ramp truck just die on her and ended up coasting 250.00 for some come out bleed the system so here want do i have elect. life pump from my 6.5 chevy can used that with out hurting the fuel system

you can use an electric lift pump. you have to remove the stock lift pump and get a block off plate. I am not sure if the pump from your chevy will work or not.

yes you can put an electric pump on. but remember, these trucks are known for the fuel pickup in the tank cracking at around the 1/4 tank mark and sucking air instead of fuel. so even with an electric lift pump, if the pickup is cracked you will still run out of fuel when it hits that mark.
that is why a lot of us never let the fuel gauge go below 1/2 tank.

Yes i under stand the pickup can go bad and i have one that bad but will be fix this weekend just want make easy if this happens again so the wife just turn key after added fuel and make little easier for her. Hopefully she will never run down that low again




Can some tell me what size line going to LP is and do they make block off plate for the LP or do have to make one

Other ? here about the fuel do these truck have a Diesel Fuel Injector Driver Module of is that just the PS that has it

The reasoning i am asking i guest still have fuel problem the truck wouldn't start for the wife again fuel filter was full of fuel. do these IP have screen on the inlet on the IP and before ask yes the glow plug system is working great truck started fine this morning and when she went out lunch no start

idm is powerstroke.
the IDI does not have it.
sensor on fuel?
are you talking about the one on top of the filter head?
that is the fuel heater.
