Chip advice!

Well, ive only been saying it for 2 years now! Im buying a chip THIS week. So, the question is: Who do I go with?? What tunes do I want?

My trucks a 5 speed as some of you know. My future plans are to install my intercooler and stage 2's. And thats really it. I dont tow much, and I dont drag race lol. I was want more POWER!! Due you PMS (Powerstroke Modification Syndrome). I like DP's chip being digital and all, but have herd the customer service is a little tuff from time to time. I really want/need high idle, and i think 1200 is a good rpm for warm ups and A/c. Id like the drive thru tune, because im always late to work and i think being able to use the drive through would be nice. So what do you guys run? What setting are you on most? What all out race tune do you use? Oh and ofcouse i'll have to get the lope tune! Any help would be great! Thanks
Kris

PHP is what i have.

80 Daily driver
100 Performance
120 Race
140 extreme
60 medium tow
Smoke show

Now of course you wont be seeing 140 horses on stock sticks, but you can tell the difference because the fueling pattern is different.

Of course I have Wildman tunes. Mine is high idle, econo, heavy tow, daily, street race and race. I really could get rid of my econo, daily, and street race tunes b/c I never take mine out of the race tune unless I'm towing or using high idle. I only use econo or daily if I'm going to be driving several hours on the highway.

I have dealt with Jody and crew on a few occasions and the service was great. as for the tunes, like others have said, once the stage 2's are in you will need a re-burn. I would not spend the xtra money on the 120/140 tunes until you have them installed. I stay in 80 econo or 60/40 tow tunes most of the time, but this is not my DD. I love the digital chip as well.
Good Luck!

Too my understanding, the drive thru tune doesn't do much for the obs trucks. But I may be wrong.

I've communicated with Jody a handful of times and it's never been difficult. The only person I've spoken with when I'VE called is Diane but Jody has called me back several times. All communications both phone and email have been well within reasonable time periods. If I had the money to spend there is no doubt I'd stick with DP.
No one ever says anything negative about PHP either but I've no experience. Plus we see them on here too.

They're both free. Why not leave them then you don't have to unplug or remove anything. The F5 chip is capable of 16 tunes so there's ample room for them.

When you say dont use it unless i need it. What do you mean by that. I plan on getting a chip in the comming months, I would like to get smoke tune just to show off. does it hurt anything ?
