I wouldn't be so worried about ring and pinion gear quality so much as half ton axles and drivelines with 36-40" tires......
Yeah I realized that shortly after my last post here...and if it isn't his daily driver, that means that it has other uses, and it isn't going to put up with mudding or wheeling
No, the 5.0 could be had in a light duty F-250, but it would still just have a Dana 44 TTB front, and a 10.25 semi-float rear... Two weak axles in my opinion.
aprreciate the input but i got 4.88's coming so i guess ill find out how its gonna do soon. and yes i do plan to upgrade axles sometime but not soon since i already replaced everything in the frontend and also new coils and shocks. so imma re gear and try not to tear it up ha. and it is a f150 with the 8.8 and dana 44 ttb
