If the O.P.s goal is to reduce engine noise in the truck cab, I have tried 2 stroke oil, FRX, in tank and pre-pump mod and added an Adrenaline HPOP. My engine is very quiet for a 7.3 running stock split shots with 80 and 100hp tunes.
I also added poly tubing to my door seals which made my cab quieter.
Some folks are bed liner coating there valve covers and have stated that quieted things down. Insulating the firewall with sound mat is another option. New injectors can make the engine run quieter.
I guess I should have said 3/8" clear plastic hose. Military service flashback on calling it poly tubing. In colder climates I would stay away from hose and use use foam or surgical tubing.

What exactly do you do with it? Is it adding an extra seal in the doors?
