Performance Injectors

WHat kind of performance injectors are out there for the IDI engines? Will powerstroke injectors work? Can the pump supply enough fuel for the injectors? I have an injector leaking around the plastic barrel for the return line and when I put a new return line system on I am going to replace the injectors because I think some of them are bad. Just wondering if I can use bigger injectors or if it's a waste of $$$.

I asked Ken at DPS about it on my n/a 6.9 ,he didn't think i would need to go to the stage 1 injectors due to not having a turbo. Depending what you have and do with your truck you could contact him and ask. www.dps-performance.com

Powerstroke injectors are electronically controlled, the IDI injectors are fully mechanical. They are not interchangeable.

Actually, the only real similarities between the PS and IDI are the 7.3L displacement and they both run on diesel. Other than that, they are entirely different engines.
