New truck question

What I want is a new F350XLt....I love the chrome and the way the truck sits....I think it would look great with after market wheels and tires......Now heres the problem.....34 to 35 thousand.....If I was to get a 250 could I just change front coil springs and add a leaf in the rear and end up at the same ride hight as a 350 ?..Also If I was to get a xl instead of a xlt is there a way of adding chrome bumpers and grill without spending 3000 at the dealer for the parts?...Thank you.......God I cant wait for my new Ford...Im a 51 year old that doesn't want to grow up..

Most folks on here put a leveling kit and 350 rear blocks in their 250's and it gives it a very nice stance.

IIRC, the price difference between the 250 and 350 is only about $1000. All the other options will make a bigger difference in the price.

Thanks Dennis....I can see by looking at your truck a xlt will be nice....So I guess you can lift a 250 and still be able to set caster and camber. My torsion front end on my 2500 Chev stinks...Put a leveling kit on my truck and they couldn't line it up without letting it down a little...Aneyhow...Thanks man

Thanks KDoaxs....Thats good to no when I head back down to the dealer.....Hay...Are the new 8,s a good motor?...I hall a trailer sometimes....You guys are great to help me out...Im kind of diving into this so I dont know much about Ford trucks....My last one was when I got my licens...It was a F100...I had that truck for 10 years and loved it....We also like and drive ford cars...Does that count..??

Amen to that! I've had 3, and the last one I did a solid axle conversion on- big bucks and wasn't ever quite right. I'll never own another!

Sure that counts! As soon as I get my F250 squared away, I'll be trading the Chevy Crapolier for a 4-cylinder Ranger. Then I'll start my search for a decent Maverick body. That is, if I don't end up with an Excursion for sale locally...
